original art

An interior designer was commissioned to design and furnish an ultra modern home. She had talked to the home’s owners and the architect before buying any furniture or fixture. She knew exactly what their tastes were and how to give their home a subtly elegant look. The designer decided to buy modern minimalist furniture. She also saw to it that there were original art pieces strategically placed in several areas of the house.

Original art pieces like paintings and sculptures were placed on the foyer, the living room, the huge balcony, the dining room and in the garden. Original art pieces by budding painters hung above each bed. The art works were especially selected for each room. The master bedroom which was the grandest of all the rooms had a painting of a Venetian street scene. This art piece was chosen because the house owners claimed that Venice was one of their favorite cities. The rest of the house rooms had abstract paintings.
