Facts About Bed Sheets

Every time I go with my mother to buy things for their new house in the province, I can’t help but stop in front of the bedding sets. There’s just something about the different designs and colors that makes me want to think about my own home. I would daydream about going to places like these with my special someone and picking out the right design for our room. My mother noticed that I was staring too long, and decided to teach me a thing or two about bed sheets.
Bedding sheets can be made of cotton, linen, or a combination of cotton and polyester. There are two main varieties of bed sheets – flat or fitted. A flat sheet is simply a rectangular piece of cloth, while fitted sheets have elastic or gartered corners. Thread counts refer to the number of horizontal and vertical threads in one square inch of fabric. The higher the thread count, the softer the fabric feels. I didn’t think there was more to bed sheets than just a simple piece of cloth.
