bedding pillows

Pillows need to be washed at least once a year, or else replace them with new ones. Even if you use pillow protectors or pillowcases, bedding pillows still eventually need to be laundered. Different types of pillows require different cleaning methods. Some are easy to simply wash in the washing machine and then dry in the dryer, while others need more attention.

Begin laundering your pillows by starting with the dense ones with polyester or fiber filling as these take a long time to dry. Put them in the washing machine if they fit or handwash them in the bathtub if they do not. Next, do the feather and down pillows. As these pillows will be very heavy when wet, you may need two spin cycles to remove excess water.
