Never start an embroidery project without the proper materials. Check first if your embroidery supplies are sufficient. If you’re still a beginner, practice first and learn basic embroidery stitches on small pieces of cloth to get them right.

For your first project, choose one with a simple pattern that you can easily follow. Don’t forget to begin all stitches on the wrong side of the fabric and avoid making knots on the end of your thread so that the finished piece will lay flat.
