The look of the crib will dictate the ambience of the baby room. A traditional rectangular crib speaks of practicality. It is all about functionality and comfort. It will also fit nicely in a small or moderately sized baby room. A round crib on the other hand will need a bigger room as it needs space around it for the sitter to move. It has to be positioned in the middle of the room. However, it projects a kind of elegance, like a cradle fit for a prince or princess.
The round crib will also need a different kind of bedding set. If it is a simply designed crib with banisters arranged in a circle, all you will need is a mattress cover, some bumper pillow covers and maybe a crib skirt to attach under the crib. Some round cribs have complicated designs. Some round cribs even have a dome to protect the baby from falling insects or dirt. In cases like this, you might also need a canopy set to go with the mattress and pillow covers.
