I have always dreamed of owning a beach house. It started when we would spend our summers in my aunt’s beach house in Malibu. Her house was filled with beach home decor. It was if she brought the elements of the sea inside her home. She had sea shells for ash trays and fish shaped door knobs. She had rugs in the shape of flip flops and surf boards. In her bathroom she had towel rods that had dolphins and fishes in them.

I loved the fact that her home beach décor was done subtlety. The mirrors had frames that were done in colorful prints. There were lounge benches in her patio instead of chairs. She also had several vases with sand in them and placed them in several places all over the house. Her beach house was a heavenly place to spend a vacation. Someday I will build my own beach house that is after I hit the lottery or marry a millionaire.
