My wife loves to garden. She always watches gardening shows and attend seminars. Sometimes, if I have nothing better to do, I’ll watch with her. One show she watched was quite interesting. The topic that day was compost accelerator.

By spreading compost around the plants, it will promote growth because compost is a nutrient rich material. The show we were watching even showed us how to create our own compost accelerator. Basically, to create your own homemade compost accelerator, you’ll need to increase the nitrogen content of your compose while lessening the acidity. This is easier said than done. Another TV show showed using worm compost as accelerator. It’s so gross yet so fascinating.
