Garden water fountains were in vogue even way back during the times of the ancient Romans and Greeks. The affluent families often had fountains adorning their courtyards. These were often ornately crafted out of marble and other stones.

Today’s water fountains are less ornate, but are just as elegant. Homes need not be a villa to have a decorative fountain in the backyard. And homeowners need not be royalty in order to enjoy the relaxing effect of cascading water.
