It is much sought after as a great garden accent. Outdoor fountains are produced in natural materials such as granite, slate, copper, concrete and resin. Some are handmade from start to finish. Some are finished in unique patinas that age gracefully and naturally. Bring the soothing sound of flowing water to your patio or garden with one of these fountains.
Outdoor fountains are a joy to behold, but in the wintertime it needs special care. Fountain bowls should not be left outside in the winter as the water will freeze and the bowl can crack. Likewise, remove the pump, rubber stoppers and drainpipes. Ideally, fountains should be kept indoors or in a covered porch. But if this is not possible, cover the fountain with cloth or any absorbent material then cover the whole thing with plastic. Check periodically to be sure that water has not collected in the basin. Follow these tips and you will enjoy soothing, flowing water in the summer months.
