One of the funniest films I’ve seen is Splash. This was one of Tom Hanks’ earliest films with Darryl Hannah. There is an unforgettable scene when Darryl Hannah’s mermaid character bought a mermaid fountain and had it delivered to Hanks’ apartment. A garden fountain of a mermaid suddenly became an indoor fountain. It looked very awkward and cramped in Hanks’ apartment as expected.

A garden fountain is always bigger and makes use of more water than an indoor fountain. Most garden fountains have sculptures of people, animals and other shapes. Garden fountains are meant to relax people. They are perfect for homes within a busy city. Garden fountains can also be used in parks in cities so that people get to hear refreshing sound of water even if they are in the middle of the urban jungle.
