Before you even think about putting up an organic garden, there are several things you must consider. One of these is availing of organic soil testing which may help determine if you need or don’t even need a fertilizer to grow vegetables and other plants in your garden.

In general, a soil test can be done for $5 to $10 which is less than the price of a bag of fertilizer. Get soil for testing as close to your home as possible so that any recommendations the lab will give you will fit your climate and soil.
