Grow What You Like to Eat

Some people prefer to fill their garden with plants that will bear fruit or provide vegetables that they can use in the kitchen. Tomato plants teeming with red luscious fruits are just as pretty as azaleas blooming under the sun. The varying shades of luscious salad greens are enough décor in a bowl on the kitchen table. It is more exciting and enjoyable to grow something that you love. If you love eggplants, and green beans, by all means, grow them.

The joy in vegetable gardening is in the harvesting. Ensure that you start with healthy seeds so that your plants will grow healthy and you will be rewarded with a bountiful harvest. You may have reserved some seeds from last season’s harvest or your neighbor might have some extra seedlings. These can all be put to use. You can also get your seedlings or starter plants from a nursery.
