Weeds are proverbially part of every garden since the beginning of time. These are any kind of unwanted plants or flowers that are too invasive and take over the “real” plants in a garden or yard. They are destructive and can attract unwanted pests. Some people are even allergic to weeds and want them gone.

One natural weed killer is mulch. Mulching is a widely used method for suppressing weeds by keeping them from germinating in the first place. Natural mulches include leaves, straw, compost, shredded bark, etc. They are inexpensive, are environmentally friendly and add organic matter and nutrients to the soil.
