We can all do our part to save the environment. There are several ways we can fix our homes so that we live green. One simple way is to get programmable thermostats for our homes. Instead of having a heater and an air conditioner, this thermostat can help you conserve energy, save money and reduce your environmental impact. A programmable temperature saves energy by automatically adjusting to the house temperature.

There are plenty of programmable thermostats in the market today. Some come with a computerized touch screen, others can be operated using a computer. Several thermostats let you to set the temperature for the week. You can choose from at least 4 settings per day. When choosing a programmable thermostat, make sure that it has a manual function or option. Some even have a vacation or weekend setting where you can set the temperature for longer periods of time.
