hanging hammocks

Every summer, my family and I spend one afternoon setting up the backyard for a whole month of backyard summer fun. We put up a couple of hanging hammocks between our trees, set up our barbeque grills and proceed to have a month on non-stop fun. We do this every year. Sometimes we even invite neighbors or relatives over. Even when some of us moved away, we’d all come back every summer.

Here are some summer activities that are uniquely ours:

~ Backyard hammock marathon. This is the easiest activity. The winner is the person who can stay on the hammock the longest.
~ Inside-out barbeque. Everybody is required to wear their best summer attire, inside out.
~ Sit down ball toss. We pass around a beach ball while sitting down and the one who drops the ball gets up to refill everyone’s drinks.
