The first thing you want to think of when deciding to get a hammock is to find the location for it. Ideally it should be hang in a breezy, shaded place. If it is breezy and shaded during most part of the day you are in luck. And then, you have to make some measurements. Hammocks come in different sizes and getting the right size will make the difference between a hammock that you can swing in and one that will just stay in place.

Choose a hammock that comes with strong posts. Hammock posts take the brunt of the weight so the sturdier it is the better. Posts should measure somewhere around 4″x6″x9″ long. Dig two holes about 10″ in diameter and 3″ deep. Place the poles in the holes that you have dug, and then pour in concrete mix. While the concrete is wet, check that you have the right distances. When the concrete is dry, you can mount your hammock and you can enjoy countless hours relaxing on it.
