Keeping Keys from Getting Lost

My family and I own a lot of keys. Since most of us have an active lifestyle, we tend to go in and out of the house in different hours of the day. Most of the time, one of us would come home to an empty house, and we each would have a set of keys so we can get in. But sometimes, one of us would misplace our keys and then borrow someone else’s set which also gets lost. It’s become a bit of a hassle, until we had a family meeting after one particularly heated argument about it.

We decided to have all the keys put in one container every time we come home. This container, a small bakery basket that belonged to my mother, is to be placed near the television in the living room. As soon as we get inside the house, we all had to deposit the keys there to make sure that we don’t put it anywhere else and misplace them. Ever since we used this system, there hasn’t been an argument about lost keys.
