Now that I am in chillier weather, it is all the rage for houses in my area to have a brick fireplace. I love it, I call it my “hearth and the heart” of my home. I always pictured living in those homes that look like they belong in a postcard, and now I am living my dream! Christmas was such a beautiful blessing. The whole neighborhood was softly blanketed in snow, and I got to use my fireplace for the first time! It was such a thrill for an LA girl like me. I love my fireplace so much that I installed a copper chimney cap, which added to the cuteness factor of my home, and it helps protect me from having unexpected visits from the local wildlife too.
