decorative vases

Try to emulate a Zen like ambience in your house. Avoid clutter by limiting home décor pieces to a minimum. A few decorative vases here and there cannot be avoided. But avoid having them in all sorts of varying colors. Keep a color theme and stick to it.

This will apply to lamps, throw pillows and knick knacks. In a small space, it will be better to decorate with glass and crystals rather that clay pottery and wooden art pieces. Letting light pass through these things will give an impression of openness. So, how about a clear flower vase on the table rather than a dark colored ceramic vase? Seeing the stalks of your calla lily composition will add a striking dimension to your flower arrangement.
