When you visit hardware or home depot stores you will be amazed at all the materials and supplies that are available to make it easy for DIYers to do big or small projects. They also have a complete inventory of tools that you can use. As you browse around you get the confident feeling that you are capable of doing the renovation projects that you had been planning but kept postponing. You think about the kitchen backsplash that needs refurbishing. You realize that re-grouting the bathroom floor is not that difficult after all.

Installing ceramic tile is not that difficult if you study the steps and get advice from people who had done it before. Look for instructions on how to do it in the internet. Study it by heart. Before you begin inspect the site and make a plan. You will start by removing the old tiles and checking the walls for loose plaster dust or peeling paint. Once convinced that it is smooth and free of loose materials you can start with the mastic instructions. Once you get things started everything else will follow.
