Cats are among the most-loved animals by humans, ranking second to dogs. Even before Hello Kitty and Catwoman become popular, cats have always been well-liked. They are also widely celebrated in literature and religion. Like in Japan for instance, there is the Maneki Neko which is a sculpture depicting a cat with an upright paw that is a symbol of good luck for the Japanese people.
