Crystal flutes

Even if you’d rather host a casual affair, at one time or another, you will need to plan and execute a sit down dinner that will require more attention to details. Setting a formal dinner table will not be as daunting if you know the basic rules. Stick to these rules and you cannot go wrong.

It is important to start with fresh and clean linens. Put out your china and flatware making sure they are gleaming and shiny. After the china and flatware are set, follow with the stemware. You will need a water goblet and wineglasses. Crystal flutes should be set in preparation for a toast. As you can see, it will take more than the paper plates and plastic cups that you need in a barbecue, but if the occasion calls for a formal setting, you sure can do it.
