As opposed to chandeliers, sconces are delicate ways of enhancing the look of a room. It is a great way of combining lighting and decorating. They come in all sorts of designs that will complement any decorating theme that you have decided on. The design will control the amount of light that you want in a particular space. There are wall scones that provide upward lighting, downward lighting or diffused lighting that come from the sides.

Just like a flush mount, wall sconce lighting is easy to install. It is suggested that they should be mounted no lower than five or six feet from the floor for aesthetic and safety reasons. Some rooms have very high ceilings; take note of this and adjust the height accordingly. A very important thing to remember is to shut off any live electricity before starting to install any kind of lighting fixture. Take all the necessary precautions and before long you will be enjoying your newly installed lighting.
