Pendant lights have become so popular in most contemporary homes and offices. Their slick and simple look makes them ideal in complimenting homes or offices with minimalist designs. A pendant light may come in a variety of options. All are beautiful, adding a whimsical look to a room. They are presented as standard linear arrangements of light or wall mounted wall sconces.

Pendant lightings are also popular in commercial spaces such as restaurants that need a dramatic look. In the bedroom or dining room, they are romantic and relaxing. The tricky thing about pendant lighting is that it should hang at the proper height. What is the proper height for hanging a pendant light? For kitchens, the general rule is between 30″ to 40″ above the counter of the island. The height of people in the household should also be considered.
