Make your home an energy-efficient dwelling place. Start by taking small steps in lightening the carbon footprints you will leave behind for the future generations. This practice will also save you money on utility bills.
Here are some sound energy conservation tips:
~Paint your walls a light color to reflect light instead of retaining heat and absorbing more energy from light bulbs.
~Change all your incandescent light bulbs into the energy-efficient CFLs (compact fluorescent lights)
~Don’t let heat escape through unprotected windows. Close the drapes at night or install insulating shutters to retain heat.
~Turn off lights and appliances when not in use. Unplug them from the sockets to lessen CO2 emissions and further reduce your electric bill.
