Electricity bill has been a problem. Not in just US, but in other countries as well. In fact, it has become a universal concern especially these economic downturn times. That is why it is important to save energy. Easier said, but doing it sometimes becomes the main dilemma of every household. Good thing circulars and communications have been distributed various concerned groups and organizations to help families save up on electricity bills and at the same time save the environment.

Appliance stores have started selling energy-saving electrical devices that cut to up to 70% of the electric bill. Aside from ‘green friendly’ TVs, refrigerators and audio players, it is advised to use the compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) too in all parts of the house. This produces the same amount and quality of light but just uses ¼ of the electricity. Quite a saving, indeed, CFLs don’t just help lessen the utility bills, they help homemakers with the budget as well because they can be used for years and years of lighting.
