A recent charitable housing project featured an innovative use of technology. Instead of using the usual electrical sources, the foundation which built the homes installed solar panels in each house which is to become their main source of energy. Many sectors lauded this move, which is initially seen as a way to cut electricity costs.
Indeed, using solar energy for homes boasts of a long list of advantages. The power drawn from solar energy can be used to power many items at home, including the home’s entire lighting and electrical source as well as heating and air-conditioning systems. Solar energy can also be tapped to produce natural heating for the home. Tapping solar energy is also more practical, especially in areas where putting up a network of electrical grids may not be feasible.
