Many construction rental stores allow leasing of heavy equipment to those who need them. However, if you are not a very experienced operator of construction equipment, you might find it difficult to bring the equipment home. If you have just rented a loader or a lift, follow these general guidelines:
~Always keep safety in mind. Rental stores require that only persons over 18 can handle heavy machinery. As an operator, you must learn the basic operating methods and safety hazards of an equipment before even attempting to make it work. ~Ask for advice which piece of equipment is advisable for the project you are working on. ~Don’t hesitate to ask questions while you are still at the rental store. Let them demonstrate before you start operating the equipment yourself. If they refuse, go rent somewhere else. ~Check the equipment thoroughly before paying the rent or else you might find yourself being charged for damage that was already there when you rented the machine. ~Once home, run through the safety features and operating procedures again. Get acquainted with the controls before starting on your project. ~Strictly prevent children from playing within your working area.
