sewing needle

Learn to choose the right needle for each sewing project you do. It is sometimes easy to jump from project to project without giving thought to the sewing needle in the sewing machine. This can be a costly mistake especially if you’re prone to using the same needle for everything you sew until it breaks.

The size of the needle you use should depend on the size of the fabric yarns in the cloth you are working on. The finer the yarns, the finer the needle should be. As a rule, a sewing needle should be fine enough to go through a fabric without marring it. It should also have a large enough eye that won’t let the thread fray or break during the sewing process.
